Purpose of Position

The purpose of this role is to support Contractor Connections ongoing supplier development. Ensuring that panels are filled with suitably motivated, qualified and credentialled contractors that meet the needs of client’s customers across a broad range of programs/schemes offered by Contractor Connection in Australia. Additionally, supporting and managing the Membership Services Team whose chief responsibility is to ensure all suppliers comply with the Company’s technical, service and compliance standard, while maintaining the performance across a range of metrics.  A key aspect of this role is to support the Head of Contractor Connection AU in developing profitable relationship’s with clients of both an internal an external nature.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the sourcing of new Contractors to meet the specific needs of various schemes and programs offered by Contractor Connection
  • Ensure the vetting of new suppliers, credential checks and assessment of supplier capabilities are undertaken correctly.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure service delivery meets Crawford expectations and legal requirements
  • Monitor and manage average cost, timeliness and quality in alignment to client based SLA’s and internal goals
  • Ensure routine supplier forums are held throughout the year, working towards an annual Contractor Conference
  • Overall responsible for supplier performance management and service delivery
  • Manage the Membership Services teams workflow, its efficiency and accuracy of appointed staff
  • Manage staff performance management, recruitment and training as required.
  • Coordinate the development and correct utilisation of managed systems by staff and suppliers
  • Preside over the resolution of escalated issues ensuring the Membership Services staff adhere to current business rules and develop further enhancements as required
  • Ensure that the team and suppliers uphold the One Crawford Restore values
  • Work effectively within a team environment by assisting fellow team members, sharing information and supporting the team to achieve its targets
  • Undertake client liaison and relationship building, developing close links with client operational staff and management Coordinate effective communication to both internal and external clients
  • Work within Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and maintain client service standards.
  • Maintain awareness of Business Continuity programme and role within it
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education

Experience/Knowledge Required

  • Evidence of consistent delivery to targets in a similar role
  • 5 + years related work experience in procurement and vendor management
  • 5 + years key account management experience
  • 5 + years supplier management experience in the insurance repair industry
  • Proven ability to build rapport with customers and service providers, including strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence levels
  • Strong problem solving, resolution, negotiation and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent leadership and relationship management skills with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a speedy and responsive manner
  • Working knowledge of Domestic & Commercial Buildings Scoping and/or a Diploma/Degree in Building Repair or Trade qualification
  • Ability to interpret complex information and respond by developing appropriate actions
  • High standard of business English for written communication across traditional and electronic communication media
  • Self-motivation, accountability for own achievement of required claim outcomes and own contribution to team outcomes

Technical Skills Required

  • Ability to scope and estimate cost of repairs to Domestic & Commercial properties
  • Good literacy skills, producing good quality reports
  • Analytical, numerate and accurate

 

Education/Qualifications

  • 5 + years related work experience in procurement and vendor management
  • 5 + years key account management experience
  • 5 + years supplier management experience in the insurance repair industry
